Where and when are the classes & tutoring?
Classes and tutoring are scheduled in the evenings from 4-8pm in the downstair classroom at the Westfield Athenaeum.
Is there a cost?
Through the generosity of the City of Westfield, community-focused local businesses and charitable foundations, classes are free. There is a small, nominal fee for the text.
When do classes begin?
Classes are offered during Fall (September-December) and Spring (January-May). A "Registration Night" is scheduled in August and January at the Westfield Athenaeum which includes learning about the program, completing Intake Forms, and an assessment.
How long do classes run for?
Classes run for 30 weeks.
Is there a lot of work?
We assign homework after every class. Our students say it is a reasonable amount.
What do I have to do to be successful and achieve my high school diploma?
1. Attend all classes.
2. Complete all homework.
3. Attend tutoring if you are having difficulty.
But what if I can't attend classes?
Class attendance is mandatory. If you can't attend regularly, you should seek other options.
